Eugene Arnold Mills, 86, formerly of Heritage Lake passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017.
Eugene was born in Robertdale, Indiana on September 15, 1930, the son of Arnold Nathan and Elsie Anna Paula (Radloff) Mills, and was a 1948 graduate of Hammond High School. He earned his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1961.
Mr. Mills proudly served in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. He worked at AT&T, formerly Bell Labs, for over 34 years until his retirement in 1989. Eugene was a member of Mary Queen of Peace in Danville, the Knights of Columbus in Greencastle, and was a former member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Donna Mills; six children, Ann Felgen, (husband-Bob), Michelle Waters, Terese Carter, (husband-Monty), Jean McCorkhill, (husband-David), Lisa Galligan, (husband-David), and Kevin Mills, (wife-Tina); a brother, Norman Mills (wife-Helen), twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael mills, and a grandson, Erica deCallone
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1005 W Main St, Danville, IN 46122, with Father Michael Fritsch officiating. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be directed to Gibault of Terre Haute, 6401 South U.S. Highway 41, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802.
