Ara Iskenderian, 87, of Williamsburg died on August 3, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Iskenderian.
Ara graduated from the Robert College in Istanbul, and the Philadelphia Textile Institute before going on to work as a textile engineer for BASF. He was a member of CIAO and an avid soccer fan.
Mr. Iskenderian is survived by his son, Alex Iskenderian (Julie); daughters, Mary Ellen Iskenderian and Lynn Walls (Frank); grandchildren, Allison Walls, Ashby Walls, Bryn Iskenderian, Nick Iskenderian and Evan Iskenderian.
A funeral Mass will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Pkwy, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
