Terry Wayne Tuckness of The Woodlands, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27 surrounded by his loving family. Terry was born on August 21,1946 in Amarillo, Texas, where he grew up. He was employed by McCarty-Hull for most of his entire career. He retired in The Woodlands, Texas to be close to his children and grandchildren, who lovingly called him Poppy.
Terry enjoyed listening to music and anything Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, and Houston Astros, but most of all just enjoyed being around his family. Thank you all for the prayers and support during this most difficult time. 1 Thessalonians 4: 11-15
Terry was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife for 35 years, Janie. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Grace Tuckness (Tuckie and Nanny). He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Chase Price, and two nieces, Terri Gaye Deputy and Emily Deputy.
He is survived by three doting daughters, Christy Fogleman and husband Devin of The Woodlands, Kari Smith and husband Chris of The Woodlands, and daughter K.C. Tuckness of The Woodlands, Texas. He has 4 grandchildren Chandler, Brooke, Allie, and Bryce who loved their Poppy like crazy! An older brother Kenneth Tuckness (Tuggie) and wife Loralei of Amarillo, and a younger sister Toye Price and husband Cecil of Amarillo. He had several nieces, nephews cousins and lots of relatives on his wife's side, too numerous to mention.
The one constant companion he had by his side was his dog, Poopie-Doo that he loved with all his heart. She will stay a part of the family - no worries!
