Back in the late 1950's, Butch,Sam,Peach and myself(Willie) were pretty close group of guys.We did everything together.Butch was the class clown, the adventurer and the instigator of most of our adventures. In his senior year of high school his family moved to the Charleston area, but Butch still came to Ripley most weekends.Whenever I spoke with him, he had me laughing within minutes.I was shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. He was truly unique. I have never since met anyone quite like him. I lost a really great friend.
