Mr. William Howard Still, age 89 of McDonough, Georgia passed away August 6, 2017. He was born in Dacula, Georgia to the late Hershel Howard and Susie Viola Lunsford Still. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Virginia Moody Still in 2013. Bill faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked 20 years with REA Express and then retired from TransCon. He was a member of the McDonough First Baptist Church and the Teamsters Union. He loved to spend time with his family, enjoyed gardening, fishing, watching NASCAR, football and Westerns. Bill was a great storyteller and prayer warrior. Survivors include his children, Don (Mary) Still of Lilburn, Cassie (David) Wright of Carrollton, Jonathan (Kim) Still of Norcross; grandchildren, Tommy Still of Denver, CO, Katie (Jeremy) Baker of Dallas, Laura (Chase) Edmonds, Josh (Hope) Wright all of Carrollton, Amanda Still of Duluth, Emma Still and Bryant Vo both of Norcross; great grandchildren, Spencer and Maggie Edmonds; sisters, Ruth Brooks of Cumming and Yvonne (Johnny) Long of Buford; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 – 11:00 AM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Charles Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville at 2:30 PM. Friends may visit the family Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
