Claudine G. Spano passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the age of 81. She was the loving wife of Anthony J. Spano for 65 years; beloved sister of Louis J. Garner, William J. Garner, Adrian D. Garner (Mary Ann), and the late Jesse E. Garner; daughter of the late Jesse and Leona Garner; and step-daughter of William McDonald. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be fondly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Claudine was born and raised in New Orleans, and resided in Kenner for over 50 years. She worked for BellSouth and AT&T for 34 years in several supervisory positions before retiring. Claudine was a member of the Pioneers with AT&T. She was an avid reader, and was known for her giving and selfless nature.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 1:00PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Claudine’s memory to the National Shrine of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos, 919 Josephine St., New Orleans, LA. 70130.

Aunt Claudine was a kind and generous person. I will always remember her beautiful smile, love of animals, and funny anecdotes. I know that she resides in heaven now. My deepest sympathy to Uncle Tony and the entire family.
