Roy Thomas Handley, 42, of Kaufman, Texas died on Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Roy was born on April 24, 1975, to Thomas and Judy Handley. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, boat, hunt, mud, and garden. Most importantly, Roy loved his family, and would do anything for them. On any given day, you could find him with a grandchild or two at his side.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Handley and their children; Wesley and Teri Kannady, Courtney Kannady and Chris Savell, Travis and Ronee Handley, Jason and Chloee Handley, Haley Handley, and Mallory Handley.
Roy is also survived by six grandchildren; Kaden, Shane and Shawn, Trent, Shayden, and Riley and his sister Casey Clawson and daughter Raven.
He is preceded in death by grandson, Thomas Roy also known as Lil Roy, grandparents; James and Mary Handley, and Rose Thompson. Also, several aunts and uncles including; Gwen Long, James Handley Jr., Sharon Handley, and Suzie Cole.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Roselawn Funeral Home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August, 12, at Victory Church in Scurry, Texas. Ray Vallance and Gordon Hudson will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville, Texas where he will be laid to rest in the Garden of Grace.
Pallbearers will include Wesley Kannady, Travis Handley, Jason Handley, Buzz Handley, Robert Cole, David Cole, James Zataratous, and Forrest Jerry Burt.

So sorry to hear about Roy. He was a great man as we would set on our porch we would see him go by on the four wheeler with the grandkids. You could tell them grandkids made his world go round. Him and Tammy had the love that most would love to have. He will be missed.

As I look around my house, I see all the things that Roy has done for us over the years and it makes me miss him more. He was such a good guy. Always had a smile for you and a big hug and was always eager to lend a helping hand when needed. Tammy, we love you and will be praying for you all!

Words can not come close to what I feel bout Roy's untimely passing. It was no secret how much he loved his wife Tammy, his kids and grandkids. his dedication shown in his works and the videos he often shared on the facebook, and I always enjoyed shooting the bull with him. Norma and I will be praying for you all!
