Over the last 30 years I've watched a lot of Hawkeye & Cubs games, caught a lot of fish, played a lot of cards, and had a ton of laughs with Rox's Dad. Rest in Peace, Ray.

Rita,Jamie and Derek,
Prayers for you and your family and thanksgiving that Raymond is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I did not know this until a few years ago when my mother told me .
Ray and my mom Evelyn Feick both graduated from Fontanelle high school.
Ray was 3 yrs older than mom and she said she was friends with his sister Cordelia.
My mom's family also were members of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fontanelle where his dad was pastor.
In fact, Pastor Seegers confirmed my mother in 1947.
Pastor Seegers and my grandpa Edwin Feick were good friends and he drove my grandpa home from Mayo Clinic after back surgery.
My grandpa was on the Fontanelle
boys basketball team in 1927 and
therefore thought Raymond and Roland were great basketball players
and called them the Buzz Team.
I guess Raymond was on one end of the court and he passed it to his brother Roland on the other end who
made the basket.
Fontanelle was so proud of them when they made State!!
Rita I wish I would had known this
when we were waiting for our sons Jamie and Patrick to clean their dorm rooms that spring at the University of Iowa!

Grandpa was always there for a laugh, a hug, or a game of cards. I'm so thankful to have so many wonderful memories with him, from summers at Rice Lake to his constant pranks with the grandkids. He will be missed by many. What a life. Love you, Grandpa.

We met in Portugal and were travel friends through the years, enjoying reunions in various countries. Ray was a kind man of faith and he is now resting in beautiful peace with those he loved who went before him. Our prayers go to Marge and his family as they savor their memories of him. We'll miss those phone calls that kept us in touch.

We met Ray and Marge several years ago in Portugal and had many travel reunions with them through the years. Ray was a kind and generous man. In later years when Parkinson's took its toll we kept up communication by telephone from our California home to his in Iowa. He was a man of faith who is now resting in beautiful peace with those he loved who went before him. Our prayers go to Marge and his family as they savor their memories of him.

My deepest sympathy to all of Ray's family. I am sorry I didn't get to know him well, but I knew his father and remember Rolland from Wartburg College days.
May the strength and comfort of God's presence and promises sustain you.
