Roy C. Straley, 80, of Rockford went to be with the Lord on Monday August 7, 2017 at Rockford Mercy Hospital.
Roy was born on April 3, 1937 in Rockford, the son of Roy I. and Jeannette M. (Gregg) Straley. Roy love the Lord, he enjoyed watching the Bears and Cubs on T.V. Roy loved playing softball and did play into his mid-60's.
Roy is survived by his sister Shirley (Dallas) West; sister-in-law Colleen Straley and special nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, wife Celida, three sons, one daughter and brother Wes.
Private visitation and family services will be held to celebrate Roy's life at Sunset Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
