Randall Joseph "Butch" Michon, 69, of Manchester, died peacefully with dearest friend Cheryl (Champagne) Morabito by his side, on August 7, 2017 after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Manchester on July 2, 1948 the son of Arthur and Marie (Stewart) Michon, Sr. He grew up in Manchester and attended Franklin and Manchester Central High Schools.
Randall was an auto aficionado and was self-employed as an expert auto body and paint technician. In his younger years, he enjoyed racing at New England Dragway in Epping. He was always ready for a challenging round of golf and he also enjoyed the quiet times he spent fishing and at home. He will be lovingly remembered as a father, grandfather, son, brother and friend.
He was predeceased by his daughter Lisa Marie Craig in 2014, his father Arthur Michon, Sr. in 2009 and his brother Arthur "Ricky" Michon, Jr. in 2014.
Members of his family include his son Michael Michon and his wife Melissa of Manchester, his daughter Jamie Schucker and her husband Rich of Gainesville, Virginia, his six grandchildren Benjamin, Monique, Makayla, Jennifer, Luke and Jordan and step granddaughter Ella, his mother Marie Michon and her companion Harold Carr of Tracy, New Brunswick Canada, his brother Dennis Michon of Manchester, his sisters Patricia Perreault and her husband Omer of Bedford and Katherine Michon of Virginia and her partner Bruce Roy of Connecticut, his former wife Claire Daigle Brinn and former partner Deborah Reed McLean, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday August 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at the McHugh Funeral Home 283 Hanover St. corner of Beech St. in Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday August 12 at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church 172 Belmont St. Manchester. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Randall's name be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
