My sympathy and prayers to the family
during this time of grief.
I recall Leon as a person of an understated, quite demeanor which projected a professional demeanor as a GPPD Officer. Will always remember Leon as the epitome of a motor officer. RIP brother.

I would like to express my condolences to the Holcomb family. When Phil Foster left GPPD I took his place on motors working with Leon. I can say he was a fine man, Christian and family man. He was a great officer and co worker and he will be missed. GOD bless Marilyn and the family in these difficult times.

Leon was a consummate professional. He took pride in his work and served GPPD well. His word was his bond and he brought stability to contentious situations by his quiet and confident demeanor. He was a true friend and brother. May God hold Leon in the palm of his hands, for he was a Peacemaker!

As a brother Grand Prairie Police Officer who helped carry the torch of law enforcement for 20 years subsequent to the time Officer Holcomb served, I wish to offer my sincere gratitude for his service to the community. I pray God's blessings upon his soul and upon his family. I salute the service Officer gave to the finest police department in the U.S.A.
