Paulette Posey, age 75, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Methodist Hospice Residence in Memphis, after a brief illness. She was born July 6, 1942 to Paul Bryant and Sarah "Punkin" Reeder Bryant. She was a member of Cherry Creek Baptist Church. She graduated from Ecru High School in 1960 and retired from Bancorp South, then worked at the Pontotoc County Library. She also helped her husband, Albert with the bookkeeping duties of his Auto Body and Repair Shop. She enjoyed spending time with her family, vacations with her sisters, and she was an avid reader.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, August 14, 2017 at Cherry Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Reeder and Rev. Glen Reeder officiating; burial will follow in the Cherry Creek Cemetery. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her daughter, Brandi Posey (Lynn Bland) of Memphis, TN and her three sisters, Bonnie Strain (Jim Mealer), Reeder Wilson (Jerry) and Debbie Herring (Dean Roaten), and her nieces and nephews, Andrea Wilson, of Jackson, TN, Rony Herring (Kayla) of Ecru, MS, Jon Herring (Candy) of Mooreville, MS and Jill Herring, of Honolulu, HI, and two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Albert Posey.
Pallbearers will be Paul Cecerre, Jr., Jon Herring, Rony Herring, John Logan, Jr., Arke Mahan and Jordan Montgomery.
Visitation 5 to 8 pm Sunday and from 10 to 11 AM Monday at Cherry Creek Baptist Church.
