Mr. Robert Barnett Rutledge, age 50 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away August 11, 2017. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Nancy Stokes Rutledge and the late Olin Adair Rutledge. Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren and making sure his girls were happy. He also enjoyed his computer, music, cooking and a good cup of coffee. Robert loved to watch the Atlanta Braves. He loved doting on his dog, Sophie. Survivors include his daughters, Rebecca (Austin) Safady of Ft. Worth, TX and Tracey Rutledge of Stockbridge; grandchildren, Brody and McKenzie Safady; mother, Nancy Rutledge of Locust Grove; siblings, Rhonda (David) Moss and Michael Rutledge all of McDonough; mother of his daughters, Selena (Marty) Wallace of Stockbridge; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2017 – 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. I still can't believe Robert is gone. I will always remember those little boy dimples, his laugh and his sense of humor. I thank God that his pain is over, and I pray that in time tha the memories will ease the pain for all of you. I miss him too.
