Fannie Zuppardo Obituary

Fannie “Faye” Mulé Zuppardo passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 12:50 p.m. at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Zuppardo. Daughter of the late Calogera Mulé and Mary Nancy Gulotta Mulé. Sister of the late Jack Mulé, Peter Mulé, Mikel Mulé, Josephine Mulé Mancuso, Margaret Mulé Portera, Catherine Mulé Rizzuto, Rose Mulé Zummo, Mary Stella Mulé Stipelcovich, and Marie Mulé Mancuso. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.



Mrs. Zuppardo was born in Norco, Louisiana and lived in New Orleans for over 60 years until hurricane Katrina.



Mrs. Zuppardo was the retired President of the Louisiana Retail Food Dealers Association. Mrs. Zuppardo was co-coordinator of the St. Joseph’s Altar at St. Joseph’s Church on Tulane Ave. and the Piazza D’Italia on Poydras St. for the Greater New Orleans Italian Cultural Society for many years. She was founding member of the St. Michael’s Special School Guild and in the late 1970’s was on the Committee that started the Chef’s Charity for Children.



Mrs. Zuppardo was a lifetime member and past president of the Elenians Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70124 at 1100 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Faye's memory to St. Michael's Special School 1522 Chippewa St., New Orleans, LA 70130
