Aaron Miles Collier, 23, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2017.

A native of Virginia Beach Aaron was a free spirit and enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved the outdoors, snowboarding, camping, fishing and the beach.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandmother Deborah Cardone and grandfather Taylor H. Montgomery.

Survivors include his mother Donna Collier Murray and husband Kevin; his father Joseph Montgomery; a sister Addison Hare; grandfather Jerry Miles Collier and his wife Sue; grandmother Maureen Montgomery; uncles Joey Cardone, Mark and Troy Montgomery and an aunt Anne Horne.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel where a Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The SPCA.

Joe and Donna I don't have the words to express the way I feel, I cannot begin to understand the pain you're going through. Even though Aaron was my nephew I hardly knew him through circumstances that were beyond all our control, I wish it could have been different. I'm happy that I did get to meet him and spend some time with him. I don't know or understand why this happened, but please know that I think about all of you every day. With mine and my family's deepest regret and sorrow. RIP Aaron.
