James Arnold Edgett, 80 passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 in Sherman, TX.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 25, 2017 at Cedarlawn Chapel on the Hill in Sherman with Pastor Roy Webster officiating.
James was born Wednesday, February 17, 1937 to Arthur and Addie Lou (Winburn) Edgett in Denison, TX. He loved baseball and golf and played for the American Legion Baseball League. He was a past member of the Denton JC's. He loved watching his grandchildren play baseball every time they played. He played a lot of golf with friends after he retired from GTE as a Senior Engineer.
James is preceded in death by his son Dale Edgett; daughter Donna Schneider; brother Richard Edgett; sister Lorrine Shirley and his parents.
He is survived by his son Mark Edgett of Gainesville, TX; brother Tom Edgett & wife Wanda of Grand Saline, TX; grandchildren, Cheri Browder & husband Rick of Sherman, TX; Starla Kirk & husband Jason; Kris Edgett & wife Shelly of Sherman, TX; Angela Holbrook & husband Ben of Sherman, TX; Michael Edgett; Amos Edgett & wife Mandie; Casey Edgett & wife Carla; and numerous great grandchildren.
