Jack C. Jones Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 25, 2017.

Jack C Jones died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 25th, 2017 in Guys, Tennessee at the age of 63.
Jack is survived by his mother, Ida L Jones, of Guys, Tennessee and his son Matt Jones of Corinth, Mississippi. Jack also is survived by his five brothers and their wives, Will and Linda Jones of Houston, Texas; Steve and Renee Jones of Toronto, Kansas; James and Rhonda Jones of Mumford, Tennessee; Mike Jones of Corinth, Mississippi and Randy Jones of Guys, Tennessee. He also is survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Jack is preceded in death by his father William C. Jones of Adamsville, Tennessee.
Jack was born on June 28th, 1954, in Cooter, Missouri to William C. and Ida Jones. He graduated from Gibson High School, Gibson, Tennessee in 1972. After moving to Corinth, Mississippi in 1973, Jack began working for Gardner's Super Market from 1973 through 1977. In 1978, Jack began working for Liberty National Life Insurance Company as an agent, and later as an independent life agent for Lamar Life of Jackson, Mississippi and Great Southern Life in Dallas, Texas and Kansas City Life in Kansas, City Kansas. Jack won several awards as a life insurance salesman which included travel abroad. In 1999, Jack founded All Stars Auto Glass, Inc., in Corinth, Mississippi, and was actively involved in the day-to-day operations until he retired in 2014. Jack's son, Matt Jones, assumed control and continues to operate this successful auto glass business today.
Jack was an accomplished golfer and from his early 20s through his late 40s often played a great scratch game. Jack was an individual who loved teasing his family and friends and who was passionate about fishing (as long as he got to sit in the front of the boat). He was, for many years, an active and dedicated member of the Elks Lodge in Corinth, Mississippi and often volunteered at many of the Elk fundraisers.
A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, August 27, 2017, at McPeters Funeral Home in Corinth, Mississippi with internment at Box Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be at McPeters Funeral Home on August 26, from 5 pm until 8 pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jack's life. Condolences can be sent to www.mcpetersfuneraldirectors.com. The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice of Selmer, Tennessee for their excellent service, and also a special thank you to Larissa Jenkins of Selmer, Tennessee, Jack's favorite home health care nurse. Pallbearers for Jack are Dave Latch of Hinkle, Mississippi, Paul Aelmore of Birmingham, Alabama, Gary West, Larry Ross, Larry Stevens, and Danny Porterfield, all of Corinth, Mississippi.
