Jewel Mae Taylor, 93, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the MS Care Center in Corinth, MS. She was born on September 15, 1923 to Ples and Nora Smith McCreary. She was a Baptist, a retired factory worker and she loved sewing, quilting, music and working in her flowers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Rickey Taylor officiating and Derek Kendrick will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will be on Friday, August 25 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home and until service time on Saturday. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Ann Taylor of Booneville; three sons, Benny Taylor and wife Carolyn and Rickey Taylor and wife Cheryl both of Booneville and Jimmy Taylor and wife Michelle of Starkville; four sisters, Lucy King, Shirley Cain, Joyce Holland all of Booneville and Elbie Brumfield of Lousiana; two brothers, Smith McCreary of Booneville and Paul McCreary of Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Rodney Taylor, Lacy Brown, Malcolm Taylor, Jessica Williams, Rebecca Taylor, Abigail Taylor, Anna Rae Taylor , Derek Kendrick and Clint Kendrick and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Taylor, one daughter, Brenda Kendrick, one son-in-law Randel Kendrick, two brothers, Troy and Dexter McCreary.
Pallbearers will be Tony McCreary, Ronnie McCreary, Gerald Rowland, Rodney Taylor, Clint Kendrick and Derek Kendrick.
McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
