Gladys Marie Holstine, 82, of Blount, went home to be with the Lord Friday, August 25, 2017, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.



Gladys was born in Putney on March 14,1935, to the late Conard and Lalla Barnett Ratliff. She was a retired Post Master at the Blount Post Office with 25 years of service. She was a member of the Grace Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Helping Hands Club.



Along with her parents Gladys was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clyde Leroy Holstine; sister, Vinatha "Doodle" Meadows.



She is survived by her daughter, Robin White of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Larry (Melissa) Holstine of Charleston; grandson, Brian (Shawna) Jones of Charleston; sisters, Ruth Asbury of Parkersburg and Sharon Adkins of Blount; brother, Danny Ratliff of Blount.



Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, at Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden, with Rev. lra Keller officiating. Burial will follow at Montgomery Memorial Park, London, W.Va. A visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.



ln lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
