Shannon Sipes, 77, of Memphis, TN, passed away August 26, 2017. Shannon attended Bartlett High School and the University of Memphis. He served in the Air Force Reserves. In his professional career, he was an individual construction contractor, most recently of Olive Branch, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred William Sipes and Vera A. Sipes. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Gail Sipes; daughter Kimberly Gail Johnson (James) of Greensboro, NC; brother J. Richard Sipes (Marlene) of Charlottesville, VA; and one granddaughter, Morgan Johnson. Brantley Funeral Home of Olive Branch has been entrusted with the arrangements.The family will have a private service.
