Roberta Ann Saathoff, 70, of Plano, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, in Plano. She was born on October 2, 1946 in Waterloo, Iowa.
Roberta grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa and moved to Plano, Texas in 1969 to start her family. She worked in retail customer and credit service for many years, starting at Titche's then Joske's and transitioning to Dillard's in Dallas. She recently retired as an Insurance verification specialist with JLD and Associates. Roberta was passionate about attending and serving at her church, the First Presbyterian of Plano. Over the years she built strong friendships with her church family and neighbors. Roberta raised two beautiful children, Katina and Kent, and continually taught them the importance in the love of family.
She is survived by her daughter Katina Stinson and husband Jim Stinson; son Kent Saathoff; sister Becky Tackenberg and husband Tom; nieces Greg and Amy Gill and family; Sean and Jill Scarborough and family; and Ann Baker.
Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Saathoff, and mother and father, George and Shirley Archer.
A celebration of life to honor Roberta's memory will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, Texas 75074. The funeral will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, September, 1, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church, 1500 Jupiter Road, Plano, Texas 75074.
Flowers may be sent to Ted Dickey Funeral home or for donations in lieu of, please give to First Presbyterian of Plano .

Katina, Kent and family: I have such fond memories of your mother from when we both worked together at Titche's and Joske's. She was a wonderful friend. Roberta was always interested in other people and went out of her way to stay in touch after I retired. Please accept my sincere condolences.
