Marjorie Lenora Dore 62, passed away on August 19, 2017 at home. She was the wife of Charles Melvin Dore. They shared many happy years together creating a family. She has a son Alston Melvin Dore and daughter Jacquelyn L Dore-Greene.
Born in Road Town Tortola, British Virgin Islands. She was the daughter of the late Daisy Rebecca Varlack-Stout. She attended school in Tortola, B.V.I. She was employed at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. She worked as a hostess until she retired.
She was a member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed going shopping, dancing, going to the beach. Maggie loved listening to Caribbean music, cooking, decorating her home and traveling. She loves to go to eat at various restaurants. She enjoyed living her life to the best of her abilities. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a very kind-hearted person always willing to give or share whatever she had. Maggie was a very proud of her son, daughter and grandchildren. She will always have a big smile on her face. Her laugh was so infectious to others around her that would make you laugh also.
She would be remembered by all who knew and loved her for the impact she had on their lives. We all loved her spirit of hard work and determination. She was a survivor of all life obstacles’ that came her way. She survived breast cancer and other health ailments. Maggie didn’t let anything hold her back from her goals. When her heart and soul was set on something she was determined to do whatever it takes to accomplish her goals.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Charles Dore; her children, Alston Jacquelyn L. Dore Green; her grandchildren: Jasmine Neal, Alleisha Dore, Alston J. Dore, Amoi Dore, Zekya Smith Dore and Jalem T. Baxter; her sister, Rosemary Stout-Tongueher great granddaughter, Kaya; her cousins: Maria Rodriguez and Earlene Christian and by her special friends: Ruth George, Cynthia Edwards and LaShanne Edwards.
To know Marjorie is to love her. She was always fighting for what is best for her family and protecting them from the evils of this world.
