Freda Evans, 95, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.
She was born on August 25, 1922 in Ozark, Arkansas to Oscar Clay and Edith Shaver. She married Cecil Evans on September 10, 1940. They called Midland home since 1972. Freda was an active member of Alamo Heights Baptist Church. Freda and Cecil would have been married 77 years on September 10th.
She is preceded in death by her son David and granddaughter Tami Hansen.
She is survived by her husband; son, Boyd and wife Norene; Dale and wife Guinn (deceased); daughter, Kay and husband Larry Ward; daughter in law Olivia and her husband Joe Moore; eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
There will be a visitation on Friday, September 1, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Freda's caregivers Judie, Megan, Alexandria, Vanessa, Irma, and Theresa; Hospice nurses Kameron and Tracy and aides Peaches and Mattie.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Hospice Midland at 911 West Texas, Midland, Texas 79701 or to Alamo Heights Baptist Church at 1305 N Midland Dr., Midland, Texas 79703.

Freda, you were always such a sweet,sweet lady.Heaven will be a much brighter place now.Our thoughts are with Cecil,who has always been a hero in our eyes.
