Steven Leo Glade -- Man of Science
Steve Glade had 'being' a good friend, a good boyfriend, a good son, a good brother, a good student, and a good scientist down to a science. He was a renaissance man with interests in chemistry, brewing beer, target shooting, snowboarding, traveling, and managing his men's soccer team, The Big Green.
Steve was a kind and caring man who built and maintained strong relationships: the glue that held people together. He had a big, strong heart and would bend over backwards to help friends, family and coworkers. He was the first to include others in social activities or invite them to parties. He helped to bring people together and make them feel special. He loved his girlfriend selflessly. His smile and presence was one that could instantly light up a room. His quick wit could always put everyone at ease. He had many funny stories to tell. He loved life.
Steve was born October 10, 1991 in Boulder, Colorado. He graduated from Centaurus High School in Lafayette, CO in 2010 and graduated from Colorado State University with bachelor degrees in chemistry and Spanish in 2015.
He worked as a chemist at Gobi Analytical Labs. He was very bright and loved learning new things in his job. He was proud of the work he was doing with Gobi to protect consumers and improve health and safety standards for the marijuana industry in Colorado.
Steve is survived by his grandmother Janet Cook Howard, Williamsburg, VA; parents: Leo Glade and Deborah Cook, Lafayette, CO; older brother James Glade, Medellin, Columbia; twin brother Kenneth Glade, Edgewater, CO; and longtime companion/future wife, Dawnetta McGowan, Aurora, CO.
Steve was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Kenneth and Blanche Glade; maternal grandfathers Roy E. Cook and Samuel Howard.
Services celebrating Steve's life will be held Friday, September 8, 2017 at 5:00 PM at Eagle Trace Golf Course, 1200 Clubhouse Dr. Broomfield, CO 80020.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been established in Steve's name. Please make donations to Colorado State University Foundation, for the Steven Glade Scholarship in Chemistry, P.O. Box 1870, Fort Collins, CO 80522-1870

As neighbors for 30 years, I watched Jimmy, Steve and Kenny grow up. The strength of family ties were ever so strong with these 3 boys. Steve helped my youngest boy grow up through the struggles of adolescence, of which I am ever so thankful. That young man, with his contagious smile and positive attitude will be sorely missed. I will always be here for the Glade family. I love you guys.

Debbie and family:
So sorry to hear about Steven and I know how hard it can be to lose a child just when they are coming of their own. (lost my daughter at the same age). Keep the happy times he gave your family in your heart and I hope the pain gets easier in time.
