Caralin Poore Williams
1943 to 2017
Caralin Poore Williams, 74, left this life Saturday, September 2nd after a tenacious battle with Lung Cancer. She was a loved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and most importantly, a Friend. It was her connection, her devotion to so many people that kept her vigilant in her crusade over the past two year struggle to defeat her "foreign invader." Alas, her Heavenly Father, who like the rest of her family, friends and community, who stood by her side in times of joy and in times of sorrow, deemed her struggle enough and carried her home to a place of beauty and peace…….both of which were her earned rewards for the extraordinary life she piloted!
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Sara Brugger, Father, Merlin Brugger, Brother, Lamont Brugger, Sister, Eloise Shultz, Brother, John Brugger and Ex-Husband, George Williams. Caralin is survived by her first husband, Alvin Poore whom she was united in marriage for 25 years; their Sons, Larry Poore, Montie Poore, Darryn Poore, Kurt Poore and Steve Poore; Grandchildren, Emily, Sidhant and Suhani; Serena and Bethany; Josh, Zachery and Brianna; Hunter and Michaela; Great Grandchildren, Charlie, Oliver and Leonardo. She is also survived by Sisters Elaine Binger, Helen Otten and Vicky Tipton; Brothers Lenard Brugger, Bob Brugger and Jerry Brugger.
Caralin lived her life under the broad brush of her ideals and her morals, never wavering and never afraid, but always with Love and Compassion. She was born and raised in Tulare, South Dakota. She built a business as a Hair Stylist in Houston, which she managed for over 30 years. In addition to running her own business, she also enjoyed painting and a wide variety of arts and crafts she sold and donated over her many years, as well as cake decorating in which she hosted a 2 hour public televised show early in her life. Her other passion was gardening; for those who were so blessed as to experience her earthly creations, will carry these visions forever……she created such beauty in her life! Rest in peace Mom.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 8th, between 6pm and 8pm, with Funeral Services on Saturday, September 9th starting at 10am. Interment Services were later that day. The service will take place at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road, Houston, Texas, 77055.

Caralin will always be remembered for being a kind, loving and strong person. I often reminisce of the fun times I experienced being her next door neighbor and childhood friend of her sons in the mid to late '70's. I'll never forget being totally amazed by her incredible ability to prepare massive amounts of food to feed her five sons! She was truly amazing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
