So sorry to hear about Ernest. He will be greatly missed by all of you. I treasure the times Wayne and I got to visit Betty and Ernest. I loved all the pictures he would send us and seeing his yo yo tricks. Wayne and family always loved their time at Betty and Ernests condo too.
We love you and have you in our prayers...

My daddy, Joe Shirey, known as Big Joe at Delta, worked with Curly for many years. I remember him talking about Curly and how much they all loved working at Delta and all the fun they had while keeping those big jets safely in the air, as well as playing the card game Hearts during lunch breaks. I am sure I met Betty, Judy and Jimmy at the Delta picnics over the years, but years later I worked with Curly's sister at the U.S. Postal Service and once again met up with Judy there too. Curly and Anne attended my mama's funeral in 1971. I fondly remember Curly telling me that I looked just like my mama which was a compliment.
Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. My sincerest condolences.
