Nellie Jo Foerster, age 77, passed away the morning of September 7th, 2017 in her home in Harker Heights, Texas after a long battle with cancer. Nell was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on September 26th, 1939 to parents Pauline Clements and Haywood Thomas. She graduated valedictorian of Little Rock Central High School's graduating class of 1957 and attended Southwestern Adventist University. Nell pursued her passion for sewing as a seamstress and dressmaker. In 1960, she gave birth to her daughter, Lisa, in Amarillo, Texas. In 1964 she gave birth to her son, Wilson, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nell, or Dodie as she was known to her closest friends, was a vibrant and charming woman whose sharp wit and fierce intelligence charmed all who were lucky enough to have met her.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Lisa Hill; her step-daughter, Kris Higgins; her sisters, Diane Bell and Donna Lee; her 3 grandchildren; her 2 great-grand-children; and countless friends, admirers, and ex-husbands.
At Nell's request, no services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
