I worked with Elizabeth at Niermann- Weeks in the early nineties. She was a unique individual but also very talented. Condolences to her family.

Dear William, and all friends and family,
I just learned today from my brother ricky about your loss. Elizabeth and the entire Dax family meant so much to me when i was a teenager. There was so much love and humor and acceptance in that household. I wish Elizabeth and i had stayed in touch. I will always remember her as i knew her then: thoughtful, artistic, kind, intellectual and a beautiful soul.

To William - I just learned about Elizabeth. I am so sorry, and so stunned. Both you and Elizabeth were incredibly important to me growing up. All those memories are still very meaningful to me, and I hold them dearly. The friendships, the politics, the music, the Sixties. And for me, much of that revolved around your parent's basement!
I hope you are doing well. I'm married, live in Santa Rosa, California. Come visit...
Your good friend,
Ricky

Elizabeth was a fabulously talented friend who I first met when I moved to London and really helped in bringing it to life. She taught me much about painting and gave me confidence to carry on in the art field. Elizabeth also has been a huge influence in modernising houses with her artfully minimalist touch. When she left London at the end of the 1980's we lost our best friend and London also lost a great talent. We'd not heard from her for many years but had followed her work career online, seeing her new works and hearing of her Art lectures on Facebook, its a pity she never actually wrote on it, always preferring her trusty portable italian typewriter, as she once told a mutual friend; "Somebody's got to be left behind!"
Im still in shock to hear Elizabeth has passed but through her Art and her friendships, Elizabeth will never be forgotten.

I knew Elizabeth first of all at Bath Academy of Art, where we became friends. She was a Brilliant Artist and an Unusually strong minded Woman. Whilst I was living in MA, I visited her in Annapolis and have fond memories of meeting her Mother and Father and her Brother and Sisters. I send very sincere Condolences to all her Family. R.I.P

I was Elizabeth's neighbor for some years on Third Street in Eastport when she first moved there. She fascinated me with her interests, her art, and her sly humor. So sorry for your loss.

My brother and I were neighbors of the Dax family in Ben Oaks, and I was in William's class in school. We were so sorry to hear the news of Elizabeth's death. She visited our house from time to time and we were always impressed by her outspokenness and intelligence. We're thinking of you all at this difficult time and we hope you find some comfort in your memories.
