Catherine Campbell Obituary

Catherine Lynn Campbell, 56, of Madison Heights passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born March 16, 1961, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of Tomie Eawell Campbell and Barbara Arthur McCraw.

Catherine was a school teacher for 34 years teaching children with the Amherst County Public Schools and also educated adults towards achieving their GED. Catherine never met a stranger and was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

In addition to her parents, Catherine is survived by her significant other Gene White of Madison Heights; her siblings Scottie Davis and her husband Andy of Forest. Eddie Joe Campbell and his wife Connie of Amherst and Angela Miller and her husband Larry of Nathalie; nieces and nephews, Alicia Raven, Trenton, Cody and Justin; and her special canine friend Budd Budd.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00p.m., Friday, September 15, 2017, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. James Witten officiating. Interment will follow at Meade Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Amherst Rescue and Safety Squad.
