Sorry to learn of Dottie's passing. You are all in my prayers. I remember visiting her in New Orleans area when I was doing genealogy on J. M. and Mary Rose Howell (our common ancestors) and later in San Antonio when her son-in-law was assigned there for military medical duty. Always enjoyed hearing from Dottie.

Uncle William, Rosemary, Moi, Rebecca, Moi and Toby, I share your loss more than you will ever know. Aunt Dot was like a Mother to me and a best friend. A special Aunt to my daughter, Amanda, and my dear departed husband, Van. She opened her heart and her home to us on many occasions. We always felt welcomed. She drove me to my very first job interview and we laughed about my attire many times (however, I did get the job) this was in 1969. LOL... we laughed a lot. I loved her frankness...as well as she set a formal table for dinner and 4 hours later she in the yard with my daughter trying to catch baby frogs and/or other insects for her school project. That was my Aunt Dot a very special Lady, like a diamond with many facets. As the song goes, "I will be loving you always"...Sheila
