Nancy J. Kronberg of Rockford IL, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in her home after a long illness. She was born March 8, 1943 in Rockford Illinois. The daughter of Dietrich and Viola (Polkow) Beck. She lived in Rockford her whole life. In 1961 she graduated East High School. She married Richard Kronberg on June 24, 1961. Nancy was a member of the Blackhawk Athletic Club. She enjoyed the companionship of a fishing pole on the Mississippi. She donated money to the Illinois lottery, playing the same numbers for over 30 years. Her life was complete when surrounded by her family and faithful canine companions. Nancy will be greatly missed.
Survivors: children, Blaine (Treasure) Kronberg, Christine ( Larry) Kronberg-Smith; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Katherine Smith; sister-in-law, Judy Bredeson who was like a sister to her; brother-in-law, George Robson; nieces, nephews and friends; her wonderful dog, Molly. She was predeceased by her husband and parents.
Special thanks to the Doctors and staff of Swedish American Regional Cancer Center; Northern Illinois Hospice; caregivers from Home Instead. Titania, Kyoka, Olivia and Gwen. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Noahs Ark to honor her love of animals.

Christine and family-I just watched the 20 minute video montage. WHAT A JOY! I knew Nancy in last 8 years or so. I LOVED her photos from the 60's and 70's. She was quite the bombshell! On a serious note, she is such a loss for everyone. She was a contradiction of such independence yet there was a vulnerability about her. I truly thought she was a wonderful woman and will miss her very much. I understand the pain of losing family...Thinking of you.
