Duncan, Billy Joe, 60 of Fairborn, OH died unexpectedly on Tuesday September 12. He was a graduate from Stebbins High School- class of 1975, and a retiree from General Motors Truck and Bus Division . He was preceded in death by his father Billy D. Duncan, and his granddaughter Willow L Duncan. He is survived by his mother Betty J. Duncan, sister Linda F Ruffing (Richard), son Ross E. Duncan (Krista), daughter Jillian R. Douglas (Brian), girlfriend Andrea L Nartker, and grandchildren Poet, Wyatt, Briley, Layla and Braylon. Bill was a man you could always count on if you needed him, and the type of man that would help anyone with anything. He was an exceptional father; teaching his children skills they would have for life and always making sure they were taken care of. He was a loving son; taking pride in beating his mom at Uno almost every night, and helping to care for her. He was a wonderful loyal friend to those he kept close. He lived all year long for hunting season, and was rarely seen in anything but camo. His family and friends loved him dearly. You couldn't take him anywhere without him knowing someone! He will deeply and forever be missed. Viewing will be held on Sunday September 17, 2017 at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. from 1-3pm, and a short services to follow at 3 PM. Bill (Billy) first reached out to my husband and me -- his neighbors across the road -- and helped us create a path around our wetland back to our pond. That was just the beginning. Billy's warmth and generosity extended even further when I lost my wonderful mate in 2014.
"Call me if you need something," was his mantra. And I took him at his word. Whether the help involved taking down a dead ash tree, cutting away honey suckle, or even helping me break into my own house when I'd locked myself out -- Bill was there.
I can't imagine a world without Bill Duncan, but I know that it's a far better place for his having been here.
Thank you, dear friend!
Your grateful neighbor,
Jane McBride 9/15/17

Bill was a good ole boy who was always thinking about everyone else before himself. I remember the last time I saw him he was driving his mom around garage sailing, that truly spoke volumes on just what kind of a man he was. Rest in peace Bubsy, sympathy to all of you who loved him.
