Vanessa Mae (Berry) Mayo, 80, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, at the residence of her son.
Vanessa was born December 5, 1936, to the late Willie B. and Phyllis (Burnett) Berry.
She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of Cornerstone Church of Augusta.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Adam Mayo, Jr. and daughter, Christy Harbeck.
Survivors include three sons, Pastor Greg Mayo and wife, Sherri of Waynesboro, Mike Mayo and wife, Monica of Stuarts Draft and Barry Mayo of Crimora; daughter, Rebecca Early and husband, Jerry of Grottoes; brother, Jeffery B. Berry and wife, Patricia of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Erica Ham, Clyde Mayo, Julie Mayo, Patricia Shifflett, Jonathan Mayo, Hope Mayo Marshall and Kirsten Soper; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, September 18, 2017 at Cornerstone Church of Augusta with Pastors Greg Mayo and Glenn Kurtz officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at 5:30 PM until time of the service on Monday.
