Cathy Lynn Watson Sellers, 63, passed away on September 14, 2017 at her home in Hamilton, TX surrounded by her family.
She was born August 6, 1954 in Hico, TX to Clyde Willis and Eva Nell Watson. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 1972. She married her high school sweetheart, Ted Sellers on December 30, 1972.
Her life was devoted to her family, her church and hundreds of children and teenagers. She spent some 15 years in childcare, 28 years in public schools, and gave over 30 years of service towards VBS and Sunday School. She was a true witness and hero to many people because of her determination, spirit and unwillingness to let her disease define or stop her. Despite daily battles with her crippling disease, she never lost her selfless desire to serve others. If you lived in the city of Iraan, chances are she influenced you in some way! She was loved by many, especially her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her "Little Granny", Fleeta Pitts; her father, Clyde Willis Watson; her brother, Michael Watson; and 2 infant children, Laura Leigh and Frances Tommy Sellers.
She is survived by her husband, Ted Sellers of Hamilton; 2 children, Elisa Lester and husband, Joe of Gustine; Christi Chabarria and husband, Michael of Mountain City; her mother, Eva Howell of Hamilton; 2 brothers, Tommy Watson and wife, Judy of Sand Springs, OK; Bill Watson and wife, Texanne of Hamilton; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Jacob and Paige Lester of Gustine; and Matthew and Sarah Chabarria of Mountain City.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Iraan, TX.
