Ruth M. Flynn, age 87, of Venice, FL, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Attleboro Nursing & Rehabilitation Home in Langhorne, PA. Born in Fall River, MA she was the beloved wife of the late Leo J. Flynn and daughter of the late Stanley and Anne (Czerwonka) Maziarski.
She is survived by her children: Nancy A. Jacob (husband Jules) of Yardley, PA, Clifford P. Flynn (wife Diana) of North Port, FL and Robert L. Flynn (wife Lynn) of Somerset, MA; sister, Norberta Abisla and the late Madeline Strojny; grandchildren: Annie-Laurie Jacob and Michael Flynn of MA and Kimberly Miller of FL.
Prior to retiring, Ruthie worked at Bristol Community College as an Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School and Thibodeau Business School.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church belonging to the Catholic Council of Women, the Medjugorje Prayer and Rosary group. Ruthie led the Rosary every Tuesday after mass and actively participated in the St. Anthony Novena. She will be sorely missed by all of her friends in FL.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 9:30 AM from Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street, Fall River. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours are prior to services from 9:30 – 10:30 AM. For directions and tributes: www.waring-sullivan.com.
