On September 16, 2017, after a long battle with cancer, Carrol Glen Dority passed away at the age of 65 in Midland, Texas.
Carrol was born on August 17, 1952 in Pecos, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Bert and Marie Dority. He is survived by Diesel, his beloved fur baby; wife, Paula Dority; children, Holli (LeAnna) Roberson and Jeffrey (Amanda) Dority; seven grandchildren, Paula (Raven) Shaw, Troy JoEric, Addyson, Kasen, Madden and Manning and four great grandchildren, Tatum, Hunter, Edward and Aiden.
Carrol worked hard all of his life. He was pretty simple… farming, trucking and Diesel equaled life. Diesel was his companion of 13 and a half years. He went where Carrol went. He traveled in the truck but if Diesel couldn't go, he didn't go.
Carrol always said "Time will tell". He applied this to all things from crops to trucking to the weather; when to plant, cut, bale or when his load was to be delivered. Even when he met someone new…TIME WILL TELL. You can bet he would take the time to redo a crooked row and the bigger the load the better. Oversize was a weakness. He enjoyed John Deere tractors, especially after they were made with air conditioned cabs and cassette players- Bon Jovi and Bob Seger ALL DAY!
There will be a memorial service at Solid Rock Fellowship in Midland, Texas on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
The family asks that donations be made in Carrol's name to the Hope House of Midland at Gifts of Hope, Inc., P.O. 1323, Midland, Texas 79702 or at www.giftsofhope.org

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Carrol was along time dear friend and our lives were all blessed to have known and loved him. As with James Bailey, I also remember those BBQs and good times. I know Carrol, Larry and Wiley are all sitting around and arguring about which one was the best driver and which one hauled the biggest loads. God bless you Paula, you held your vow "through sickness and health until death do us part". Holli and Jeff, our thoughts are with you. Praise God, he has been healed! Love all of yall.
