COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Dionne Rowell Sauls, 79, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Kilbourne Park Baptist Church, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.
Dionne passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late William Fred Rowell and Ruth Ellis Rowell. She was a graduate of Columbia High School and a long-standing member of Kilbourne Park Baptist Church. Dionne was associated with E.D. Sauls Company for over twenty-five years.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Thurman Sauls; daughter, Debbie Massingill (Ben) of Easley; grandchildren, Krista Massingill and Will Massingill; sisters, Sarah Watson (Maxey) and Wilma Morris (Leonard) both of Columbia; brother, Jim Rowell (Jane) of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Sauls and her brothers, Maxie Rowell and Fred Rowell.
Memorials may be made to Kilbourne Park Baptist Church, 4205 Kilbourne Road, Columbia, SC 29206.
