My Mommy, You were the toughest Steel Magnolia who ever lived. When I was born, your role was that of a dutiful, country club-going doctor's wife. When you became a single mommy, you rolled up your sleeves and went back to the VA where you had always been known to those vetarans as Sunshine Sally! You raised me in a Christian home and your love of the Lord will shine on for generations after you. I feel that sunshine from heaven beaming down on me every day because I know you are there. I miss your sense of humor. I miss your beauty. You never knew how beautiful you were. You were a little older than the other mommies at school, but you were still by far the prettiest. You had such class and dignity and amazing social grace. Jordan inherited your smile and enthusiasm. That's what keeps me going without you. I love you forever. I'll see you soon some glad morning when this life is over. Blondes have more fun! Roll Tide

Sally, who I admired and respected growing up in Carbon Hill, has joined her wonderful parents. She was one of the 'stars of the Hill' and loved by all. Throughout her life she has remained as lovely inside as out and has been successful, humorous, Christian lady.
She will be missed tremendously by family and friends.
