We are so sad to just hear the news about our wonderful veterinarian, Dr. Jenna Renshaw. We will miss her caring and loving spirit for all animals, especially for our five Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Nala, Keeba, Pumba, Zuri and Mari over the many years she was our vet.

My family and I were so saddened by the news of Dr. Renshaw passing. She was the very best veterinarian you could ever ask for. She was so sweet, kind and compassionate when we had to put down our golden, Sam. She always knew just what was wrong with all of our pets and always recommended the exact proper care they needed. We will miss her so very much and I cannot imagine taking my dogs to see anyone else. I hope she knows what a wonderful impact she had on our lives and our dogs' lives as well. Rest in peace sweet Jenna.

My dear friend, I could go on and on in my mind thinking of ways I could have helped to keep you here with us. You know, now how many people you impacted, how many people care and will always love you. You made me want to be better at everything. You believed in me, and I respected you, and you made me believe in myself. You are a special person who I am thankful to have had in my life. You are one of my favorite people I have ever met and had the privilege to know. I love you and pray you have found peace. You deserve peace.

Oh, Jenna, words cannot express how utterly shocked and heartbroken I have been at your sudden passing. We had just messaged that Friday and you were going to see Charlie and Chloe in a few days. How I always looked forward to those 6 month checkups for my kitties! They all loved and trusted you as much as I did. Thank you and bless you, Jenna, for all the years you cared so expertly for my Bailey, Dax, Eddie, Harry and recently, Chloe and Charlie. You were an angel on this earth. May your family and loved ones be comforted knowing that we will keep you always in our hearts with love and deepest gratitude.

Dearest Jenna, I can't begin to tell you what you meant to me. You were the only one I wanted to care for my pets since the first time we met at East Maryland. You were also someone I considered to be a dear friend. I will miss you, my heart feels like it's breaking. God bless you.

I am a fairly new client of Dr Jenna and my deepest condolences to her family and friends. I could immediately tell she was a dedicated vet and cat lover. She helped guide me to an internist for my kitty and was very informative of the process my cat may have to go through. May she rest in peace.

I have been out of the country, and just learned the heartbreaking news this morning. I am shocked and devastated. Jenna has been there for my family and the 4-legged members of our family for 15 or more years. She was with us when we had to say goodbye to 4 of those family members, most recently in June 2016. She has also been there when we welcomed a new member of the family, most recently this past February, and has been with us every step of their lives. We can't imagine a world without her. We love her and will miss her. May she rest in peace. Anne, Steve, Marley & Katie

Jenna will be greatly missed by me and my family. Her compassion and expertise was exceptional. She was there for us when we had to say good bye to 3 of our cats and personally chose our current feline kids, Gus and Norton (aka Gooey).
She saw Gooey in the last month and had arranged for him to see a specialist--she always took that extra step to understand what was happening with our furry boys. We feel that it was a great privilege to have her as our vet and friend for the last 10 plus years. Our deepest condolences to her family.

Dr. Renshaw showed compassion for people as well as for animals. In 2010, my family had to put down our beloved Labrador, which had originally belonged to my father, who died two years earlier. Jenna was loving and kind on the phone when she responded to our message that it was time to release the dog from her suffering. When Jenna arrived at our home later that day, she knelt on the floor as I held the dog in my arms. She had tears in her eyes as she said, "I'm thinking of your dad." Jenna's family is in our thoughts and prayers as you deal with your great loss. We are grateful for the goodness Jenna showed to us over the past 12 years.

Dr. Renshaw has cared for our pets for almost two decades. The word "care" truly describes Jenna. There are few as honest, dedicated, and all-around wonderful. Thank you so very much to husband Gregg, and mother Deborah, and brother Craig for sharing her with us. We are all the better for knowing her.

I posted this on Face book recently: "So, I rarely post anything, especially about myself or my feelings. But I lost someone last week that I considered to be my friend. We really didn't socialize, and we didn't speak by phone every day/week. But she was there for me. She helped me through a rough patch some years ago, and was always there for my furry friends. She was smart, funny, sweet, tough and at the same time, fragile. I admired her in so many ways, and enjoyed that she worked hard to become one of the finest veterinarians that I had the pleasure of knowing. I always felt that I would never find a vet that was as good as the Lincoln View group. But I did..and she was. She will be an incredibly tough act to follow. I hope that over the past 18 years that I knew her, I touched her life as she touched mine. People come and go in our lives, some are easily forgotten and some are always in our hearts. Jenna will forever be in my heart. Rest easy, my friend...you really are in our hearts and dreams."

I felt that I should put this out where it can be seen by all..not just my "friends" on Facebook. She was a very special person that touched so many of us. I was very lucky to have had her as my friend. But weren't we all?

Jenna, I don't even know where to begin because I am so heartbroken over your passing. You were not just our Vet, I considered you a friend and someone I respected. I met you when you first came to East Maryland Animal Hospital and then followed you when you left. I've lost count of how many dogs and cats you cared for with me. I completely trusted you with their care, no questions asked and even though they barked at you, they loved you, just as our entire family did. You helped save Nicole's baby Jack from Parvo, you helped Morgan with Jake when he got cancer, you helped me with Taffy when she got cancer, we talked about my work at AHS and you helped me through some of those difficult times. You were and are an angel. Our family of humans and four legged fur babies will miss you so much. When you find Taffy on the other side of the rainbow bridge will you please give her a big hug from me and lots of treats. Oh yes, I talked to Earl, or as you always called him, Mr. Man. We cried together and he said he loves you and will miss you so much. God speed my friend.

Jenna was an inspiration. I knew her through animal rescue. She spent many, many Sundays voluntarily sterilizing free-roaming, primarily feral cats. Accepting the hand of light, may your star shine bright and burn forever to remind us all of your smile, your laugh, your candid view of vet medicine. You weren't just our vet, you were family to us. We welcomed You and your techs into our home as we would've Friends~
I feel your loss already,in my heart, as I know so many do. I told the dogs and they even seemed to understand that their little vets have changed too...one thing is for certain, you taught us the value of loving and caring for our critters and how to do with dignity for them, even at the time to say goodbye. Thank you for this gift~
And so, in return, GodSpeed Ms. Jenna...your lively spirit lives on in my heart and that of my pups, who really loved you. You will so missed in my home~
Peace to all who were blessed to know Jenna and love her.

Jenna was so kind and compassionate...she truly loved animals and treated each and every patient with dignity, respect and love. I have nothing but fond memories...we had a lot of fun together and she was absolutely beautiful, inside and out. My condolences to her family, friends and her patients...we have all lost a very special person.

Dr. Renshaw was one of the first veterinarians I worked with as a nurse at EAC nearly twenty years ago. She was an amazing teacher. So kind and patient. I am so saddened to hear she has left at such a young age. I will forever be grateful to her for being such a wonderful example. My thoughts and prayers to her family, friends and colleagues. You will be missed!!

I enjoyed working with Jenna back in the early 2000s. We both had just started in emergency medicine. I was one of the vet techs that had the pleasure of her company during my shifts at the Peoria EAC. When we were slow at work she and I would jokingly talk about opening up an animal hospital where we could be completely / brutally honest with the owners. We would laugh about this on a regular basis.
I missed her when she went into private practice. I will always remember her. She is missed.
