COLUMBIA - Ronald Alvin Baldree, 84, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Born in Madison, Fla., he was a son of the late Audrey Warren Baldree and Alvin Baldree. He was an Army Veteran and worked as a long distance truck driver, most recently with Nilson Van and Storage.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Betty Baldree; daughters, Katherine East (Gary) of Eastover, SC and Cheryl Baldree of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren, Angela Chavis (Cary) of Gaston, and Wendy Dunaway of Eastover, SC; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Georgeann Pons (Joe) of Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Betty Jolley.
