Gertrude "Trudy" May Winne Mohme, born February 20, 1932 in West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully in her home on September 26, 2017. Trudy was raised by her grandmother Dotty Mattox Tyner, who was a widower. Dotty raised both Trudy and her brother Frederick as their parents had passed away when they were very young.
She attended West Palm Beach High School and later, in 1950, attended Wheaton College Academy in Wheaton, Illinois.
In 1954, Trudy married Robert Henry Becker. They had their hands full raising four boys in Merritt Island being greatly involved in Little League and school programs. Trudy and Bob later divorced.
Trudy had a career as a seamstress and interior designer for Indian River Furniture.
In 1979, she married Frank William Mohme and they lived happily together in Merritt Island until Frank's death in 2002. Trudy and Frank enjoyed many hours on the road in their RV seeing the country and visiting their children and grandchildren along the way. They also enjoyed boating on the Banana River.
Trudy is survived by her sons Karl (Luetricia) Becker, Glenn (Tina) Becker, Robert (Cindy) Becker and Richard Becker, grandchildren Lisa (David) Stell, Brian Becker and Michel Becker, great grandchildren Jase and Jasper Stell, step children Frank (Renata) Mohme, Diane (Paul) Locklair, Donna (Rick) Lawler and Deborah Glass, step grandchildren Bridgette Mohme, Brittany Mohme, Jesse (Amanda) Lawler, Elisa Lawler, Tyler Morin, Rachel Morin, Marissa Morin and step great grandchild Brody Wix.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, September 30 at 3 pm at Trudy's home which is located at 1760 Rochelle Parkway, Merritt Island.
