Omer Gerald Rowzee, 81, passed from this life Saturday, September 30, 2017, at his home in Terry, Mississippi.
Visitation will be 10:00am-11:00am, Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Terry. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am in the church with interment in the Terry Cemetery.
O.G. was born August 4, 1936, in Newton County, Mississippi, a son of the late Thomas Rowzee and Bessie Laird Rowzee. He retired after 26 years of faithful service from the Jackson Fire Department, where he had served as a Captain. O.G. was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Terry. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and metal detecting, and he was an avid Civil War buff.
In addition to his parents, O.G. was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Barnes Rowzee, in February 2015.
Survivors include step-daughter, Ann Landrum and husband Samuel; step-son, Cullen J. Ledet, Jr. and wife Laurie; grandsons, Wyatt Landrum, Corey Landrum, and Cullen J. Ledet, III; and great-grandchildren, Hannah Landrum, Parker Landrum, Genevieve Ledet, and Cullen J. Ledet, IV.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Terry.
