Gordon Franklin Pierson, 91, of Henrietta, and recently from Chantilly, Virginia, passed from this life on October 2, 2017 at his home.
A visitation will be held from 6 – 8 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Military Graveside Honors will be held at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 6, 2017.
Gordon was born on June 22, 1926 in Round Hill, Virginia. He was retired from the Pentagon after serving 30 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Chief Master Sergeant. He married Erma Clark on May 29, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio. They were married for 66 years. He loved time with his wife and taking cruises with her, loved bowling, watching football, deep sea fishing, family time, and especially time with his grandchildren. He was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his brother: Jim Pierson and sister: Anna Dobson.
Survivors include his wife: Erma Pierson of Henrietta; daughter: Wanda Cooper of Henrietta; sister: Margie Beals of Leesburg, Virginia; grandchildren: Michael Williams of Springtown and Melissa Davis of Henrietta; and great-grandchildren: Brianna Swanie and Colleen Williams.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Pete will be forever in our hearts and on our mind. He was a great man, husband, father, grandfather and uncle. We will miss him dearly. With tears in our eyes and a heavy heart we send love to the family.
