Kenneth Marion Posey, 75, of Tyler, formerly of Lamar County, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 11:00 am, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Springhill Cemetery with Benji Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-7 pm, Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Posey was born August 22, 1942 in Lamar County to James Elwood and Ara Hope Cagle Posey. He was the manager of American Box Company in Paris, for several years and later was self-employed with Ken’s Office Furniture. He married Thelma Nell Whitaker on March 12, 1962. Survivors include his children, Sherry Allen & husband Terry of Paris, Cynthia Chappell & husband Jeff of Tyler and Kenneth James “Bud” Posey & wife Melanie of Paris; grandchildren; Matthew Allen, Benji Hall & wife Kayla, Daniel Allen & wife Brittany, Jessica Gould & husband Ryan, Mandie Leigh Posey, Kenneth James Posey, Jr., Zach Chappell, Baylee Chappell, Ashley Turman, Aleasia Pfuhl, and Josh McNabb; 2 great grandchildren, Phoenix Hall and Gideon Axel Hall, three brothers; Rickey Posey, Tommy Posey, and Earl Dean Posey, four sisters; Patsy Yates, Kathy Johnson, Gina Posey and Becky Brannan, a close friend and nurse, Brandy Green along with numerous nieces, nephews, great niece & nephew and a host of friends. Casket bearers will be Earl Posey, Tommy Posey, Zach Chappell, Eddie Lawler, Buddy James Posey and Jeff Chappell.
