I was very sorry to read the news of Mario's passing in the LI Newsday. I first met Mario at Pappagallo in 1970. He was a world class restaurateur and, more importantly, an even better human being. My wife, Marie and I, remember fondly the dining experiences for they were always first-rate. I also remember the many late nights sipping grappa and drinking espressos around the card table at Pappagallo's and Capriccio's with Mario, John and Giacomo. Those were wonderful times that I will always cherish. I will miss Mario's smile and his easy-way. He possessed an art for making everyone feel important. God Bless Mario and the entire Ghini family. Mario touched many lives in only positive ways. That, along with his family, friends and restaurant entrepreneurial gifts, will be his great legacy.
Lou and Marie Fierro and family.

Our heart felt sympathy to the Ghini family. The times of laughter and fun when Mario sat down at our talble at del Fino here in Jupiter will always be a memory in our adult son's minds from when they were pre-teens. We will miss Mario standing next to the prosciutto machine but we will remember him always.

Our hearts are broken to hear the news of Mario's passing. To Robert, Victor and all the Ghini family, we hold you up in our prayers. May your loving memories bring you peace through this time.
The Nocera family will forever remember Mario's warm, caring greeting every time we walked into the restaurant. Our Grandchildren especially, loved Mario coming over to the table to do magic tricks. Indeed, he had a special MAGIC in his personality!
