Dorothy June Huff, 85 of Midland, Texas left this Earth for her Heavenly Home on October 5, 2017.
Dorothy was born on January 30, 1932 in Girard, Texas to Jess and Louise Brooks. She graduated from Girard High School and married Donald R. Huff on April 28, 1956. They were married for 48 years until Donald passed away in 2004.
She was a homemaker and raised four sons. She loved working in her yard and was an avid gardener with a yard full of colorful flowers. Roses were Dorothy's favorite as you could always see by her large rose garden. In her earlier years, Dorothy and her sister Jody volunteered with Meals on Wheels and also worked with the Giant Garage Sale that supported Meals on Wheels. They had many years of fun. Dorothy loved her family and friends. Her faith was strong.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her father, mother and husband.
She is survived by her four sons: Randy Huff and wife Laurie of Rockwall, Texas, Timothy Huff and wife Susie and Blane Huff both of Midland, Texas and Bryan Huff of Dallas, Texas; sister Jody Huff and husband Jim of Midland; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There is a visitation on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. with Brother Bob Porterfield officiating. Burial will follow at Girard Cemetery in Girard, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Meals on Wheels at 3301 Sinclair Ave, Midland, Texas 79707.

Dot is my child hood friend. After we were out of high school we were room mates in Lubbock, Texas until we were married. We had many good times together and I will miss her.
