John Tomlin passed away peacefully from this world at home with his loving family by his side. John, or J.T. as he was known by his many dear friends, was an avid golfer and held the record of 7 holes-in-one at the Surrey Hills Golf & Country Club. John was a very kind, caring and generous man. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in the family jewelry business until his retirement. John was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lacy and Floreta Clark Tomlin; brother Walter Tomlin; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Tomlin and maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Clark, Sr. John is survived by his sons, Michael Tomlin, Mark Tomlin and wife Bobbi, and Matt Tomlin; grandchildren, Casie Tomlin, Cristin Tomlin, Brandon Skala and Kristin Sivigliano; Great Grandchildren, Mason Druse, Ashton and Hudson Skala, Kyler and Gia Sivigliano; Niece Terry Beck; many cousins and his special friend, Joanne Woelfel. A special Thank-You to Michael, for taking such wonderful care of our Dad over the last few years. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 12th at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home. Family will be receiving guests from 5-7 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of John Tomlin.
