Bloomington – Stephen L. Waldron, 72, of Bloomington, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Stephen was born October 5, 1945, in New Orleans, LA, the son of Dr. Willard Lee and Ruth Margaret Wilson Waldron. He married Linda Hutchins on October 14, 1989 in Onarga, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Margaret Lynn (Edward) Scott, Thompsons Station, TN; grandchildren, Edward Jamison Scott, Stephen Jude Scott, Robert Brennan Scott, all of Thompsons Station, TN; a brother, David Wilson (Candace) Waldron, Newnan, GA; a sister, Pamela Waldron, Waynesville, N.C.; Linda's daughter, Michelle Lynn Kuznik, Bloomington; and grandson, Austin Richard Kuznik, Bloomington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stephen was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Bloomington. He enjoyed mathematics, reading, and cryptic crosswords.
Per Stephen's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Bloomington. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the church on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 1920 East Oakland Avenue, Bloomington IL. 61701 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
