Jane Mary Guenzler, 95, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 and met her Lord and Savior. Born December 21, 1921 in Rockford, IL. Daughter of Floyd and Marie (Waller) Hanford. She graduated from Rockford Central High School class of 1940. United in Marriage to Leonard Guenzler on October 10, 1941. After his passing Fairhaven became her home in 2002.
Jane's greatest joy in life was being a housewife and mother. As a member of Rockford Gospel Tabernacle she was a Sunday School teacher, Missionary Server, VBS, delivered Meals on Wheels, active in Child Evangelism and Youth for Christ. She later became a member of First Evangelical Free Church and was active in Friendship Class. She was active in retired Sheet Metal Men and Wives and Fairhaven Circle. Her favorite pastimes at home were spent doing ceramics and other crafts. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Fairhaven Residents and Staff for all their prayers, comfort and joy.
Survivors: daughter, Carol (Doyle) Rossow; son, Larry Guenzler; daughter-in-law, Ruth Guenzler; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; husband; son, Leonard Guenzler Jr and Rafael W. Bunger (great-grandson)
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 16 at Fairhaven Memorial Chapel, 3470 N. Alpine Rd, Rockford. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Fairhaven Retirement Home. Private burial. To share a condolence www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com
