Of Ft. Belvoir, VA on October 12, at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Pettitt; dear mother of Susan Baldassano and son-in-law Bob, the late Christine, and the late Robert "Bobby". Grandmother of Debra (Tim), Angel (Jess), Kathryn (James), and Orlando (Makenna).Great-grandmother of Rebecca, Mark, Reid, Riley, and Sully. Sister of the late Dominic "Sonny" Mangino, and also survived by sister-in-law Laura, and nephews Lawrence, Jimmy and Mark.
Roseann was born in New York City in 1927. She spent 86 years in NYC and Queens raising her family. She worked at a variety of places until settling at AT&T/Verizon and working her way up to a management position which she was very proud of. She and husband Bob loved taking drives, playing golf, and eating out. In retirement, the family enjoyed spending time at their vacation home in Saratoga. She moved to Northern Virginia at age 86, and was an active resident of The Fairfax in Ft. Belvoir. She celebrated her Catholic faith daily with her Rosary group, loved socializing with her many friends, and enjoyed regular card games. She will be missed by family and friends alike.
Friends welcome at Demaine Funeral Home, Springfield, on Saturday, October 14 from 5-7 pm & on Sunday, October 15 from 2-4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Louis Catholic Church, Alexandria, on Tuesday, October 17 at 10:30 am. She will be laid to rest in Woodside, NY at a later date.
